Samuel Chukwueze is expected to leave AC Milan this summer, as he has failed to cut it there
Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze has been linked with English Premier League club Fulham, but nothing concrete has happened yet, Soccernet.ng reports.
Chukwueze is one of the major candidates to exit Milan this summer due to his struggles since joining the club two seasons ago.
The 26-year-old winger has registered eight goals and six assists in 69 appearances for the Rossoneri across all competitions.
But most of his appearances have been from the bench. In fact, this year, Chukwueze has only gotten 283 minutes of football at AC Milan.
The Rossoneri have a new coach in Massimiliano Allegri, but Chukwueze’s place on the team is not sure yet even though he has been working with the team in pre-season.
In recent weeks, Chukwueze has been linked with LaLiga clubs like Mallorca, Real Betis, and Real Sociedad. He has also been linked with English Premier League club Fulham, but none of them has made a move.
In a related development, Gazzetta Dello Sport journalist Luca bianchin, has confirmed that Fulham are seriously interested in Chukwueze, but they have not started negotiating with AC Milan.
“Fulham remain interested in Chukwueze as in Nigeria. But no negotiations yet,” Binachin wrote.
Chukwueze is valued at €10 million on Transfermarkt, which makes him a good option for Fulham financially. But the worry for them is if he will deliver, especially due to his struggles at AC Milan.
Nonetheless, in the coming days, there could still be a change, as Fulham need to sign reinforcements ahead of the new season.
