Media Take Out has learned that female rap star Saweetie may have a major scandal brewing — and it’s not from the blogs, it’s from someone who used to be in her inner circle.
According to social media influencer Maybach May, a woman who was once one of Saweetie’s closest friends, the “Icy Girl” allegedly owes her money — and if she doesn’t pay up fast, May says she’s ready to “expose everything”the two of them did together.
The Allegations
Maybach May took to social media earlier this week to air out her grievances, posting cryptic (and later, not-so-cryptic) messages directed at Saweetie. In her now-viral rant, she accused the rapper of being ungrateful, manipulative, and — most importantly — still owing her cash from past international trips.
According to May, she was the one who arranged a series of “luxury getaways” for herself and Saweetie to Dubai and Africa, where, she claims, the pair were “entertained” by some very wealthy men. May didn’t say exactly what went down on those trips — but social media users have been more than happy to fill in the blanks.
She also threw in a wild extra accusation — alleging that Saweetie used c*caine and even dabbled in witchcraftduring their travels. “Don’t make me spill the real tea,” she wrote in one post. “You know what you did in Dubai.”
The Threat
Maybach May is reportedly demanding that Saweetie repay her — but she’s warning that if the rapper doesn’t settle up “expeditiously,” she’ll take her story to either Media Take Out or TMZ and tell everything
Saweetie’s Side
So far, Saweetie has not publicly responded to her former friend’s accusations — and Media Take Out has not been able to independently confirm any of Maybach May’s claims. People close to Saweetie tell us that the rapper “isn’t worried” and believes May is just chasing clout after being cut off.
Still, in an age where viral drama can destroy reputations overnight, Saweetie’s team may be taking this a bit more seriously behind the scenes than they’re letting on.
