WATCH THE VIDEO HERE The Senate Committee on Public Conduct, Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions has found Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan guilty of all allegations against her. The panel sat on Wednesday to look into the allegation of misconduct against the lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District at the National Assembly. However, Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan did not appear before the committee after securing an order from the court to suspend the hearing of her case. She filed a petition at the Senate yesterday against the Senate President, Mr Godswill Akpabio, accusing him of making inappropriate advances on her. The female Senator alleged that because she refused to have a romantic relationship with the Senate President, her bills and motions have not been taken during plenary, accusing Mr Akpabio of abuse of power. Her petition was thrown out yesterday at the Senate because she signed and presented it herself, which is against the Senate Standing Orders, particularly Section 40 sub-section 5. Mrs Akpoti-Uduaghan later re-presented her petition on Thursday. During plenary today, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Public Conduct, Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions, Mr Neda Imasuen, said the Kogi Central senator was guilty of the allegations of misconduct against her, especially for her refusal to move to a new seat allocated to her at the Senate.
