The result reflected a comfortable win for the ruling party in the polling unit.

Speaking after the election, Senator Alli, who also holds the traditional title of Ekaarun Balogun of Ibadanland, lauded the peaceful conduct of the process.

The APC chieftain further commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and security operatives for maintaining order throughout the exercise.

Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has demanded the cancellation of the Shanono/Bagwai State Constituency by-election and the Ghari Constituency, urging the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to conduct a rerun election in Kano State.

Naijaonpoint reports that a statement signed by APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, cited widespread violence and disruption by armed thugs.

Morka stated that over 200 thugs were arrested by the police across the state during the exercise.
