Senator Gbenga Daniel has denied reports suggesting that he is planning to return to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Daniel described the claims as false and reaffirmed his commitment to the All Progressives Congress (APC).

His reaction comes days after he and Kunle Folarin were suspended by the Ogun APC over alleged anti-party activities.

The suspension had sparked speculation about Daniel’s possible defection from the ruling party.

In a statement issued by his media office on Monday, Daniel, senator representing Ogun East and former governor of Ogun state, said the purported plan to rejoin the PDP is far from the truth.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Senator Gbenga Daniel is and remains a member of the All Progressives Congress, APC, a senator and remains on the platform of the APC,” part of the statement read.
