The lawmaker representing Delta North, Senator Ned Nwoko, has unveiled a newly completed modern mini stadium in Issele-Uku, describing the project as a reflection of the region’s collective progress and a step toward youth empowerment.

In a post shared on his verified 𝕏 account on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, Nwoko said the new facility was designed to inspire young people, promote healthy competition, and foster unity across communities in Delta North.

“This project was conceived to inspire our youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community spirit,” the lawmaker said.

Highlighting the purpose of the project, Nwoko explained that the initiative aligns with his long-term vision to create meaningful impact through sustainable community projects.

“For me, every project is about impact — about giving our people access to facilities that uplift, empower, and unite,” he stated.

The senator noted that the stadium was more than just a sports facility, but “a space that nurtures dreams and connects the people through shared pride.”

Naijaonpoint reports that the newly inaugurated mini stadium features a standard football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports arena, pavilions on both sides, and fully equipped dressing rooms.

According to Nwoko, the facility will serve as a hub for sports development, recreation, and talent discovery across the district.

“With this stadium, we are nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders who will make Delta North proud,” he added.

The project has already drawn attention from youth groups and sports enthusiasts in the area, many of whom described it as “a landmark addition” to the community’s growing infrastructure.

Reaffirming his commitment to grassroots development, Nwoko pledged to continue initiating people-centred projects across Delta North.

“Our journey of transformation continues, one community at a time,” he said.

He urged local leaders, youth organisations, and sports associations to take ownership of the facility and ensure its maintenance for long-term benefit.

Beyond community projects, Nwoko has also been active in legislative advocacy aimed at national development.

Recently, the senator sponsored a bill seeking the establishment, development, and management of ranches across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory.

The proposed legislation, titled “A Bill for an Act to Provide for the Establishment, Development, and Management of Ranches in the 774 Local Government Areas and the Federal Capital Territory to Promote Modern Livestock Farming, Curb Open Grazing, Enhance Food Security, and for Related Matters,” aims to strengthen food production and security nationwide.
