WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Sevilla coach Garcia Pimienta has backed Super Eagles star Chidera Ejuke to return to his best for the club after returning to action after his three-month injury lay-off, Soccernet.ng reports. Ejuke had a decent start to life at Sevilla after joining the club in a free transfer last summer. The 27-year-old attacker registered one goal in his first nine La Liga appearances for Los Nervionenses. However, he was halted in late October, when he sustained a hamstring injury in Sevilla’s 5-1 loss to Barcelona. Ejuke had to undergo surgery due to his injury, and that added to his recovery time. The Super Eagles star returned to training at the start of the year, and he eventually made his comeback last week at Girona. He got just nine minutes minutes of action as the game ended 2-1. The former CSKA Moscow star also featured in Sevilla’s 1-1 draw against Espanyol on Saturday. He was introduced into the game in the 66th minute, but he failed to make a big impact. After the game, coach Pimienta expressed satisfaction with Ejuke’s performance. He believes that the Nigerian’s spell on the sidelines has affected his form but he will be back to his best soon. “I think Ejuke was good. He was involved, he shot from outside. Little by little he will get to his best level. And that’s how we’re doing,” Pimienta said, per Futbol Fantasy. Ejuke will look to get back to his best level and start helping Sevilla. The club currently sit 12th in La Liga and will be looking to climb up the table in the coming weeks.
