Similar posters of Governor Makinde were displayed at the popular Dengi Flyover to attract the attention of passers-by.

Furthermore, ...ers were placed on road pavements at the famous Kantin-Kwari Market, the largest textile market in West Africa, to ensure visibility for hundreds of traders from within and outside the region.

It will be recalled that a group, Nigeria Youths Awareness Group Makinde 2027 (NYAG Makinde 2027), while addressing the press in Kano over the weekend, stated that, given the political permutations of the 2027 presidential election, only the Governor of Oyo State, Engineer Seyi Makinde, can move Nigeria forward.

Speaking in Kano, Alhaji Lawal Abdullahi, National Secretary of the group, in an interactive session with journalists, declared, “We have met as different groups and have agreed to have a common front for Seyi Makinde for President in 2027. We are a moving train, and there is no stopping us until we achieve our objective of a Seyi Makinde presidency.”

He added that the group’s campaign materials, including posters, billboards, handbills, and other branded items, were ready and would soon flood the entire Northern region.

“By next week, Insha Allah, Kano, Katsina, Jigawa, Borno, Yobe, and Gombe will explode with Makinde’s presence. The Southern states will follow subsequently,” he said.

Abdullahi emphasized that Governor Makinde’s achievements in Oyo State had earned him national admiration.

“We have keenly followed his performance and discovered that he is a focused administrator committed to improving lives. He is the kind of leader Nigeria needs now,” he added.

The campaign has sparked public reactions among Kano residents. While some described ...ers as a welcome development, others said the early start of campaigns reflected a growing interest in the 2027 race.

“There’s nothing wrong with placing Makinde’s posters. He has the right to aspire for any position in this country,” said Alhaji Ibrahim Usman, who was spotted at the MAKIA roundabout.

Another supporter, Alhaji Abba Muhammadu, expressed support saying, “Let Makinde declare. From what I’ve heard about his performance, he will make a great president.”

Mr. John Ezekiel, who also saw ...ers near the airport, added, “We’re waiting for all interested aspirants to declare. It will then be up to Nigerians to decide who leads them.”
