“Seyi Tinubu will lead Lagos” – Youth group vows, dismiss prediction by popular prophet

The Coalition of Nigerian Youth Leaders (CONYL) has strongly endorsed Mr. Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the ideal candidate to become the next Governor of Lagos State in 2027.

In a statement released by its President General, Comrade Goodluck Ibem, the group affirmed that Seyi Tinubu is not only eligible but also competent, well-educated, and experienced to take on the role.

The statement came in response to predictions made by Prelate Elijah Ayodele, the leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, who had stated that Seyi Tinubu, alongside Senator Tokunbo Abiru and Gbenga Ashafa, should “perish the thought” of becoming the next governor of Lagos.

While Ayodele suggested that Hakeem Muri-Okunola, the Principal Secretary to President Bola Tinubu, would be the one to succeed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, CONYL took a firm stand, dismissing the prediction.

The youth group highlighted Ayodele’s track record of inaccurate prophecies, referencing his 2023 presidential prediction in which he erroneously forecasted the victory of former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar over President Tinubu.

The youth coalition expressed confidence in Seyi Tinubu’s qualifications and popularity among Lagosians, stressing that his leadership would usher in a prosperous future for the state.

“Seyi Tinubu is well-loved by the people of Lagos, and we are certain that he will emerge victorious in 2027,” the group asserted.
