We have some new details on the New Orleans terrorist Shamsud Din Jabbar, an African American man who is described by people who know him as having “hatred towards Black women.”
Unfortunately that radicalized hatred led to the death of 15 people on New Years Day, including at least 4 Black women and two Black man.
Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, a 42-year-old U.S. citizen born in Texas, is suspected of Wednesday morning’s deadly rampage in New Orleans, Louisiana, according the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This youtube video is likely him uploaded on May 12, 2020 byu/xioprotocol inmasskillers
Jabbar, 42, of Houston, was a former military member and father of at least three children. He appears to have been married, and divorced, at least twice, both times to Black women.
According to multiple people who know Jabber, who spoke on the website Reddit, Shamsud became radicalized by Islam – after watching “red pill” videos on social media which promoted becoming a masculine men and having control over submissive women.
One acquantance explained, “He was obsessed with being called a ‘king’ and having people refer to him as that. It was crazy talk.”
Another explained, “He was very anti-woman, especially anti Black woman. That’s what led to his radicalization, IMO.”
Jabbar was identified as the driver of the truck that rammed into a crowd at a new year’s celebration in New Orleans early Wednesday, killing at least 10 people and injuring more than 30.
The FBI is investigating the incident as an act of terrorism. They have also said they don’t believe Jabbar was working alone after surveillance footage captured three men and a woman placing one of multiple improvised explosive devices in the French Quarter.
Investigators confirmed that Jabbar, who was shot dead by police at the scene, was a U.S. citizen. The authorities are now looking into his religious and political affiliations, including if he was associated with a known terrorist organization.
The terrorist’s second wife, Shaneed Chantil Jabbar, 40, was granted the temporary restraining order against him in July 2020. The order expressly forbid Shamsud-Din Jabbar from sending threatening or obscene messages to her or causing “bodily injury” to her or their child.
It also said that he could not make late night prank calls, cancel her credit cards, and a number of other abusive behaviors. Shaneed was ordered to refrain from the same.
His first wife, Nakedra Charrlle Jabbar, 41, divorced the terrorist in 2012, court documents show.
Nakedra Jabbar was granted custody of their two children and Shamsud-Din Jabbar was ordered to pay child support of up to $650 a month and told to provide medical insurance for his children.
