Shannon Sharpe is headed to civil court after an ex-girlfriend filed a $50 million civil lawsuit, accusing him of sexual assault, but according to reports, the former professional athlete has yet to file a legal response in his defense.

While the Clark County, Nevada court docket shows that his attorneys have submitted motions to be added to the case, there is still no legal answer on record from Sharpe.

Since being hit with the lawsuit, Sharpe was forced to step away from his ESPN gig temporarily. He is also postponing his 2025 NSFW tour with Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson as he faces a bombshell $50 million sexual assault lawsuit.

The lawsuit, filed April 20 in Nevada, alleges Sharpe sexually assaulted and emotionally abused a woman known as Jane Doe over a turbulent two-year relationship. She accuses him of secretly recording intimate moments, issuing threats, and committing multiple assaults, including an alleged unprotected r*pe in January.

His attorney, Lanny J. Davis, blasted the suit as “filled with lies” and called it “a cynical attempt to shake down Mr. Sharpe.” Davis also admitted that his client had offered Doe a payment of $10 million to stop the case from going to court.
