Shareholders Okay C&I Leasing 71.15% Equity Stake in Leasafric Logistics

The board of C&I Leasing Plc has been authorised to acquire about 71.15 per cent equity stake in a Ghanaian firm, Leasafric Logistics Limited.

The transaction will involve the purchase of 711,500 units of ordinary shares of Leasafric Logistics, and it will be funded from the Nigerian company’s portion of the dividend declared by Leasafric Ghana Plc for the 2023 financial year.

The approval for the acquisition of the major shareholding in Leasafric Logistics was given at the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of C&I Leasing held on Monday, September 8, 2025.

The firm confirmed that at the gathering, investors authorised the board “to invest in Leasafric Logistics Ltd and purchase a direct ownership of 71.15 per cent (representing 711,500 units of ordinary shares) of Leasafric Logistics Ltd.

“The investment shall be funded from C & I Leasing PLC’s portion of the dividend declared by Leasafric Ghana PLC for the financial year ended 2023.”

Also at the AGM, shareholders approved the board’s proposal for the payment of a dividend of 10 Kobo each to investors.

The cash reward for the fiscal year of 2024 would be paid to shareholders whose names are registered in the register of members as of the close of business on Tuesday, August 5, 2025.

In addition, the board was allowed to “take all necessary actions to close the operations of Epic International FZE in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and to redomicile the company to any other jurisdiction.”
