Nigerian talent manager Ubi Franklin has replied an X user who questions Chioma’s gift-giving prowess to her husband, Davido.
On the micro-blogging platform Twitter, now known as X, the internet user noted how Davido always buys gifts for his wife, as he questioned what Chioma has given him.
“Davido has been buying wedding gifts for Chioma so far, not once, not twice. What exactly has Chioma bought for Davido???”.
In response to the tweep, Ubi informed him that Chioma also spends money on the singer but doesn’t tell the world. He questioned if it was a competition between the couple, as he noted how Chioma had given him 30 gifts on his 30th birthday years back.
“Chioma spends on David, too, y’all want everything on social media, so it looks like it is a competition.
I remember David’s Birthday 2 years ago, I think when he turned 30, Chioma bought David 30 gifts for his 30th Birthday. That it is not shown doesn’t mean it is not done”.
A day before her white wedding, Ubi recalled how Chioma stood by him during his trying times. He revealed that Chioma made sure she called him every day and sometimes just stayed on the phone to hear him cry and then assured him that everything would be okay. He stated that this is the reason he couldn’t skip the wedding.
That wasn’t the first time the talent manager, was singing her praise. Last year, during their traditional wedding, Davido had recounted how in 2018, Davido reached out to him to help manage Chioma and over the years, she has become his sister and they have stood by each other at all times. He stated that knowing Chioma is loving her as he has never met a soul who has had an issue with her.
Over the years, Ubi Franklin has proved his love and loyalty to Chioma despite her past rocking relationship with her now husband, Davido.
Last year, Franklin had joined Davido in celebrating her 29th birthday. He described Chioma as his sister, his guy and his best girl.
In 2023, Ubi had ignored his fallout with Davido, to beautifully celebrate Chioma’s birthday, recalling the beautiful memories he shared with her and how she reciprocated the love shown to her. The father of four prayed for the celebrant to have all her desires granted, with promises of packing pounded yam and oha soup in a Birkin gift box.
In 2022, he had defended her after a blog demeaned her to just being Davido’s babymama and ex-fiance after she and the singer broke up. The talent manager had expressed how shocked he was over it.
