Nollywood actress Chioma Akpotha has expressed pride in her best friend and colleague, Omoni Oboli, following her achievement on YouTube.
Kemi Filani reported that the filmmaker was revealed as Nigeria’s Top Creator of 2025 on YouTube. She beat the likes of Itele, Uchenna Mbunabo, Saira Movies, Ruth Kadiri, Apata TV, Uche Montana TV and more to clinch the title.
Taking to her Instagram page, she said Omoni is carrying excellence on her head like Aunty Nike’s gele, and it is sitting perfectly. She stated that she is bragging today, tomorrow, and next week.
Congratulating her, Chioma described Oboli as a woman of grace.

When Chioma won the Best Actress award at the AMVCA, Omoni had declared this year her season and told her to keep reigning. Omoni expressed her excitement about what God is doing for Chioma and added that everything good has come.
Omoni isn’t the only one winning this year.
In May, Chioma won the Best Lead Actress at the 2025 AMVCA. The movie star beat Gbubemi Ejeye, Uzoamaka Onuoha, Uche Montana, Hilda Dokubo, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, and Bimbo Ademoye to win the award.
Chioma, who wasn’t at the event, shared a video on her Instagram page of her crying as she expressed gratitude to God for the win. The talented actress said words fail her.
In March, Femi Adebayo, while celebrating Chioma’s birthday, spoke sweetly about working with her. He described Chioma’s talent as pure magic, her humour as infectious, and her energy as unmatched. He added that she brought so much warmth and charm to every role, and Seven Doors wouldn’t have been the same without her.
Opening up on why he chose Chioma as the lead actress for his movie, Adebayo claimed it was a divine message as he noted how Chioma initially declined when he reached out to her, but he insisted.
Chioma, on her part, said the universe worked it out for them as she noted she wasn’t available for the role when he first reached out to her. The movie star said she later got hooked on the script and was connected to it, and God made it possible for her to be available for filming.
