Activist Deji Adeyanju has reacted to the ongoing controversy surrounding Regina Daniels’ marriage to Senator Ned Nwoko amidst widespread reports of alleged domestic violence.
Adeyanju, in a post on his X handle, shared an opinion about the situation, saying that many women endure toxic relationships because of material desires and financial dependence.
He claimed that most financially unstable women with expensive lifestyles often find themselves tolerating mistreatment from men due to their attachment to wealth and luxury.
He wrote: “Most poor and broke Nigerian girls with expensive taste have no option except tolerate shit from men. She will go back to him on her knees.”
His comment came after reports emerged on Saturday alleging that Regina Daniels has been facing abuse from her husband.
Some reports are also alleging that the actress and her husband may have broken up following the alleged domestic violence incident.
As of now, neither Regina Daniels nor Ned Nwoko has released any official statement addressing the incident.
Meanwhile, Nollywood actress, Angela Okorie took to her Instagram page to express deep concern over what many women face in silence, describing domestic abuse as unacceptable under any circumstance.
She urged women to speak up and refuse to stay in abusive relationships, stressing that marriage is not a prison and love should never cause pain.
