Nigeria’s vice president, Kashim Shettima has arrived in Kano for the wedding Fatiha of the son of Namadi Sambo, a former vice president of the country.
Shettima is in Kano for the wedding ceremony which would take place at the Al-Furqan Mosque, Kano.
Stanley Nkwocha, the media aide to the vice president said Shettima was in Kano State to represent his principal President Bola Tinubu at the event.
Upon his arrival, the vice president was received by the Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo.
According to Nkwocha, the deputy governor of Kano State stood in for the governor, Abba Yusuf.
Other dignitaries who received Shettina upon his arrival included former Vice President Namadi Sambo and Senator Mohammed Danjuma Goje (Gombe Central).
Nkwocha said, “This is to wish the newlyweds a most blissful marital life with the blessings of the Almighty Allah.”
