The new 50 Cent/Netflix docuseries dives into Combs’ long, troubling history of alleged violence toward both men and women — including past incidents involving some of the most important women in his life: Misa Hylton, Kim Porter, and Cassie Ventura.
But the moment that truly stunned viewers was a new allegation from Bad Boy Records co-founder Kirk Burrowes… and it’s one of the most disturbing claims yet.
Burrowes says he witnessed Combs get physical with his own mother, Janice.
According to Burrowes, the incident happened shortly after the tragic 1991 City College stampede — where nine people died at a charity basketball event Combs organized. At the time, a young Puffy was suspended from Uptown Records and spiraling emotionally while the investigation unfolded.
Burrowes says Janice came to the hotel to talk to her son, gently questioning whether the music business was still the right path for him after such a devastating tragedy.
And that’s when Burrowes claims things exploded.
“I saw him put his hands on her, call her ‘b!tch,’ and slap her,” he says in the series.
Fans online say this is one of the most shocking allegations in the entire four-part documentary — not only because of who it involves, but because it raises serious questions about when Combs’ alleged violent behavior may have begun.
NETFLIX RESPONDS — AND DIDDY’S TEAM SENDS A CEASE-AND-DESIST
Following the outcry, the story was updated to include Netflix’s formal response to Combs’ legal team, who reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter demanding the platform halt release of the documentary.
Netflix, however, is standing firm — and Sean Combs: The Reckoning remains available for streaming worldwide.
