The cause of death of social media star Rolling Ray has been revealed, and according to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, he died of natural causes.
Raymond Harper, the larger-than-life Washington, D.C. social media personality affectionately known as “Rolling Ray,” passed away on September 3.
He was 28.
Raymond Harper, better known online as Ray, was diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy when he was just 15 months old, The Washington Post reports. By age 10, the condition left him reliant on a wheelchair. Yet despite his diagnosis, the influencer’s remarkable resilience defied medical expectations.
His death was announced on Facebook by his cousin.
“I f—— hate it here why cuz [broken heart emojis] ,why u leave me like this [broken heart emoji]. my favorite [broken heart emoji]. how can I heal from this pain [broken heart emojis]. ray ray I love you,” Coolest Kishia wrote at the time.
“I am sitting in my room with tears rolling down my cheeks [broken heart emojis]. I am so heart broken [broken heart emoji]. I don’t have words for this right know u are my favorite cousinnnnwhy u dogged me like this [broken heart emojis],” she shared in a second post.
