Nollywood actress and movie producer Yvonne Jegede is celebrating 20 years in the movie industry.
Taking to her Instagram page to share a glamorous photo of herself, she said she couldn’t believe it had been 20 years since she made her debut in the Nigerian film industry, also known as Nollywood. She noted that it has been 20 years of telling stories, interpreting different roles, and assuming various personalities.
She said she started out as an innocent 20-year-old, who never knew how much it would it would change her life. Yvonne expressed gratitude to her producers, cast, and crew who have worked with her and accepted her flaws, strengths, and weaknesses. She noted how some of them are no longer her colleagues, but family.
She also gave a shout-out to her fans and fanmily.

Earlier this year, a tweep had a question for Yvonne about her seductive role in Mercy Aigbe’s movie, Thinline. The fan questioned if she was a prostītute before acting, as he noted how she played that role so well. Yvonne responded, expressing how scared she was about his comment.
That wasn’t the first time, Yvonne is going all out for a movie role. She had once created a stir online as she went bald for a 2025 movie role. The movie star, via her Instagram page, shared a video of her cutting her hair as she revealed that she made the bold decision to showcase her dedication to her craft and the depth she brings to her character.
To further prove how good she is as an actor, she shared a 15-year throwback photo of herself with a bald look, as she noted how she has always been known for daring choices with her hair. The movie star made it known that letting go of her hair wasn’t about money, but the movie demanded a transformation and the unmatchable talent of the writer/producer.
Last year, Yvonne had expressed excitement at a project which she claimed would make history in Nollywood. The mother of one revealed that she shot the photos with the monstrous camera on 8k level maximum capacity.
