The babymama to Nigerian Afrobeat singer, Davido, Sophia Momodu, has dismissed insinuations that she stopped their daughter, Imade, from attending her father’s birthday.
Naijaonpoint reports that this comes after a Snapchat user had accused her of keeping Imade away from Davido’s birthday celebration.
The critics wrote, “Sophia, why don’t you allow your daughter to celebrate with his dad.”
In response, Sophia fired back at the critic, stating that the stories circulating are false and deliberately twisted to paint her as the problem.
According to Davido’s babymama, she has always been a protective mother, and people need to stop dragging her child into online drama.
Sophia stressed that Imade’s privacy is her top priority and warned against spreading lies about her daughter’s well-being.
She wrote, “You people have been doing this false narrative thing for over 10 years now. And while I try to be as graceful as I can, I’m also a very protective mother. Say whatever you want about me, it’s ok. But leave my child alone. This is non-negotiable. Imade is not a bargaining chip for her mother to conform.”
Recall that Davido celebrated his 33rd birthday during the weekend, and many friends and family members, including the singer’s other children, attended the party except Imade.
