After being found liable for assault, s*xual battery, and infliction of emotional distress and being ordered by a civil court to pay Jane Doe $4 million, Soulja Boy read a statement out to the press, promising to fight the judgment.

“Today, I stand before you deeply disappointed in the verdict delivered in my case. I firmly believe that the decision made in court was not based on facts or substantial evidence, but rather on factors were outside of my control. The truth was overshadowed by individuals such as the jury who were not present during the events in question. And I feel that the system allowed external influences to shape the outcome,” Soulja reads to reporters.

Jane Doe testified that during her nearly two-year tenure, the rapper repeatedly physically and s*xually abused her and even punched her unconscious and locked her in a room without hot water.

Soulja Boy denied the allegations, claiming the woman was never his employee and labeling her a “blunt roller,” but the jury sided with the plaintiff on multiple counts.

“Keeping these individuals anonymous while I’m forced to face public scrutiny creates an unequal playing field. I believe this entire process has been tainted by a system that is not designed to protect the rights of the accused,” Soulja added.

In 2023, the rapper was ordered to pay $472,000 to an ex-girlfriend in a separate assault case.
