According to the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA), the abuse began on August 16, 2024, when Phofedi allegedly attacked the girl at a filling station restroom while her parents waited in the car. He later invited her to church for “prayer sessions,” where the abuse reportedly continued. The case came to light after the girl developed health complications and confided in her sister.
