She is believed to be the girlfriend of 35-year-old Darryn Wilken, who was apprehended last week in Midrand after authorities discovered approximately 10 million images and videos of child sexual abuse material on his electronic devices. The woman faces charges of possession of child pornography and money laundering. She is scheduled to appear before the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 27 January 2025. Wilken was arrested on 17 January 2025 during a police operation in Midrand. In addition to the illicit images, authorities seized over half a million rand from his property. He appeared in the Randburg Magistrate’s Court on 20 January 2025, facing charges including possession and distribution of child pornography, drug possession, money laundering, and fraud. Investigations are ongoing, with authorities suspecting that both individuals are connected to a major digital crime syndicate. The police’s Serial and Electronic FCS Investigation (SECI) units are leading the inquiry.
