A young woman named Desiree Mohau Letsoalo was brutally assaulted by her jealous ex-boyfriend in Mokgoloboto village, Tzaneen, Limpopo, on Saturday, October 18.
Reports indicate that the suspect, Josias, attacked her using pieces of broken tiles during the violent incident.
Desiree, a mother of one, is currently receiving medical treatment at Letaba Hospital.
Her sister has appealed to authorities to ensure justice is served swiftly.
Community activist Miyelani Ramojela confirmed the attack and condemned the violence.
The suspect has since been arrested and is expected to appear in Ritavi Magistrate Court next Thursday.
