Barcelona and Liverpool are closely monitoring the situation of Napoli winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia with both clubs eyeing a move for the Georgian next summer, Soccernet.football reports.

Paris Saint-Germain showed significant interest in Kvaratskhelia during the summer, but a deal ultimately failed to materialize. Currently, the winger is at an impasse with Napoli over a contract extension, sparking interest from clubs eager to gain an edge in the race for his signature.

Speaking to the Rousing the Kop journalist Graeme Bailey revealed that Kvaratskhelia has caught Liverpool’s attention as the club prepares for the potential departure of Mohamed Salah whose contract is set to expire in the summer.

“When you’ve got the likes of possibly Kvaratskhelia on the market, let’s not forget that Liverpool have just brought in the second best Georgian player,” Bailey said.

“Liverpool are all over Kvaratskhelia, they know about the situation, there might be a chance of getting him next summer.”

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, PSG and Barcelona are intensifying their efforts to finalize a deal for next summer, with a decision anticipated in the coming weeks.

La Repubblica also report that the Blaugrana are actively preparing an offer for the Napoli player, with negotiations already in progress. The Italian outlet speculates that the deal could ultimately be worth up to €80 million.

Football agent Dario Canovi, speaking on Radio Marte, suggested that with the winger under contract until 2027, the Serie A club should consider selling him if the right offer comes along.

“Napoli’s approval is always needed if he wants to leave,” Canovi said. “Of course, either he renews, or we have to think about selling him under favorable conditions. Everyone has a price, even Kvara, so I would sell him at the right price.”
