Spider-Man. Brand New Day will finally conclude Tom Holland’s Marvel Cinematic Universe hiatus, with Peter Parker swinging back into theaters in 2026. The Multiverse Saga is reaching its end, with only a handful of films and shows slated for Phase 6.
In a new interview with Variety, Traumell Tillman was asked how his “villain character” will be different from his Severance character in the next Spider-Man installment. However, the star stated, “Who says I’m playing a villain? Who says that, where did you get that from?”
When followed up on if it’s a “complex player,” Tillman added, “I can’t say too much about it.” However, he concluded by confirming that “I am enjoying my time filming Spider-Man.”
Tillman’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day casting was first revealed by Variety on August 20, 2025, with details being kept under wraps about who he is playing in the Phase 6 installment. Principal photography has been underway on Holland’s sequel since August 3, 2025.
The Spider-Man: Brand New Day cast also features Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas, but similar to Tillman, the identities of their characters have yet to be revealed. Marvin Jones III will be playing Marvel’s Tombstone, a Spider-Man foe whom he also voiced in the animated Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.
Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have been keeping details heavily guarded about the Spider-Man: Brand New Day story, especially after the Spider-Man: No Way Home ending. With no one remembering who Peter is anymore, Holland’s titular hero is on his own.
As far as the British star’s future with the MCU is concerned, it’s unclear if Spider-Man will be in Avengers: Doomsday or Avengers: Secret Wars. While the December 2026 entry has finished principal photography, the Phase 6 finale has yet to start shooting.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day is scheduled to open in theaters on July 31, 2026.
