Stan Alieke withdraws from representing Speed Darlington

Stan Alieke has officially withdrawn himself and his law firm, Law Capitol, from representing the controversial Nigerian singer Speed Darlington.

Alieke had been involved in legal proceedings on behalf of Speed Darlington in his ongoing battle with Burna Boy.

However, on Sunday night, he announced his decision to quit via his Instagram page, stating, “I and my law firm have officially withdrawn from legally representing Mr. Darlington Achakpo, popularly known as Speed Darlington, and henceforth cease to act as his legal attorneys.”

It is worth noting that Speed Darlington was released from police custody about a week ago following two months of detention.

His arrest resulted from a feud with Burna Boy that began in October 2024, after Speed mocked Burna Boy’s association with Diddy, who was facing legal issues with the FBI.

 This feud led to the release of a diss track titled “Baby Oil,” which gained popularity on Spotify Nigeria.

The conflict intensified when Speed Darlington demanded a public apology from Burna Boy’s mother and a sum of ₦12 million. He was subsequently arrested during a performance in Owerri on November 27, 2024.

The ongoing legal case is set to resume January 27, 2025.
