NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs is facing renewed public attention after Aileen Lopera, an Instagram model, confirmed through her attorney that the athlete is the biological father of her infant daughter.
According to attorney Tamar Arminak, a DNA test verified Diggs’ paternity. “Mr. Diggs is indeed the father,” Arminak stated, adding that her client “hopes both parents can now focus on raising their daughter together in a positive and healthy way.”
The case, however, remains active and could proceed in court if no private resolution is reached.
Lopera first filed a paternity petition in late 2024, only days after news broke that Cardi B was expecting a baby with Diggs.
In her filing, Lopera asked that the NFL player pay for pregnancy and delivery costs, as well as her legal expenses. Documents show she initially sought sole custody of her daughter, Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, while allowing Diggs visitation rights.
Following Charliee’s birth in April 2025, Diggs filed a response requesting a genetic test and expressing a desire for joint custody should the results confirm his paternity. He also asked for shared responsibility over medical and legal costs tied to the pregnancy and birth.
