Stephen A. Smith is calling out friends of Roc Nation boss Jay-Z for remaining silent when the music mogul was added to a r*pe lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs.

The lawsuit accused Jay Diddy of repeatedly r*ping a minor in 2000 after the MTV VMAs. The lawsuit was dismissed on Valentine’s Day, but Jay-Z is continuing his suit against attorney Tony Buzbee, claiming the lawsuit cost him upwards of $20 million.

“Most of us would have let our lawyers handle this. We would have shut up and stood quiet,” Smith said. “And to the people that have smiled in Jay-Z’s face, supposed to be his friends, where are y’all at?”

Smith said if his friends treated him the way Jay’s treated him, he would terminate their friendship.

“You just gonna go silent and leave him hanging like that?” Smith added. “Ain’t like he was silent. Ain’t like he was hiding and leaving others to talk for him. He spoke and said, ‘I’m innocent this isn’t true,’ and nobody could stand up and say, ‘Nath that brother that I know, I couldn’t see that.”

The lawsuit against Jay and Diddy was “voluntarily dismissed with prejudice,” meaning Jane Doe cannot refile in the future.
