Nigerian singer Odumodublvck has reacted to the tragic death of sixteen prospective corps members who died in a road accident while travelling to the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) orientation camp in Gombe State.

Naijaonpoint understands that two other students from the same trip survived but are in critical condition at a local hospital.

Odumodublvck, while reacting to the incident, called for a review of the NYSC deployment system.

The rapper urged that youths be posted to states close to where they are based.

He said the policy, which started as a good idea, is now risky given the state of the country, and pleaded for mercy on parents who are losing their children in such accidents.

He wrote: “@officialnyscng PLEASE ITS HIGH TIME WE SUSPEND ...ING OF OUR YOUTHS TO DIFFERENT STATES OTHER THAN WHERE THEY ARE BASED.

” IT ALL STARTED OFF AS A BRILLIANT IDEA BUT NOW WITH THE STATE OF OUR COUNTRY ITS NOT SUSTAINABLE . PLEASE PITY THE PARENTS. KIDS ARE DYING. MOVE WITH THE TIMES 🙏🏿❤️”.

The victims were all graduates of Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) in Ondo State.

They were travelling in an 18‑seater bus when the accident happened.

Eyewitnesses described the crash as severe, and emergency responders recovered the bodies while taking the injured to a nearby medical facility.

The NYSC has not yet issued an official statement about the incident.

Investigations are being led by the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and other authorities to determine what caused the crash.
