Nigerian singer and songwriter Olawale Oloforo, known as Brymo, has sent a message to mainstream Nigerian A-listers.
In his Instagram story, he called out Burna Boy, Davido, and others, accusing them of jumping on remixes of trending songs, especially from upcoming acts. He admonished them to allow such artists to find their way and noted how they pretended to help them.
He admonished them to stop seeking relevance in the efforts of those who know little about the business. Brymo described their behaviour as vile.
“Dear Nigerian mainstream ‘A-listers’,
Burna, Davido, and co. Stop jumping on every hit song in a remix, especially releases by newer acts.
Let other artistes find their own way.
The pretending to be helping them reach higher is a ridiculous watch.
Stop seeking relevance in the efforts of those who know little about the business. It’s vile!!”.
A few weeks back, the Ara crooner had bragged about the pleasures he had enjoyed. He stated that he has paid for every pleasure he has indulged in this world thus far, and no other artists can brag about not owing anything substantial at the height of their career.
Last year, the singer had warned his colleagues, 2face, Burna Boy and Davido, to stay away from him. He made mockery of 2face over how his sons, with his babymamas, call another man their father. He accused Burna Boy of being unable to impregnate a woman and accused Davido of killing every guy close to him.
Over the years, Brymo has had beef with many of his colleagues, his most recent being Burna Boy, who he claimed wasn’t lyrically up to his standard and is better than him. Burna knocked him for using Yoruba music proverb to sing for him, as he noted how people say anything to get at him because he is the King.
Still, on Burna Boy’s neck, he sent three messages to the Grammy singer, first, telling him to leave the pop scene, and secondly, making him know that he is on a deity level, hence the reason Burna Boy can’t resist the yearning for his attention.
In other news, Brymo confessed how he demanded intimacy from Simi before working with her. He disclosed that he gave out sexual conditions to every female singer who wanted to collaborate with him in a bid to fulfil his fantasy. The singer added that a part of him feels remorseful about it.
Putting up the defensive hat for his family, Adekunle Gold warned him not to disrespect his wife and family and advised him to get help.
