A joke comparing Kai Cenat to Diddy set off the biggest stir of the night at the Streamer Awards on Saturday.
Host FanFan ignited the backlash when she referenced the new Netflix docuseries Sean Combs: The Reckoning, produced by 50 Cent, and quipped, “Oh, and also, congrats on your new documentary with 50 Cent. That was you, right.”

Sean “Diddy” Combs has faced a series of civil lawsuits accusing him of sexual assault and trafficking.Diddy has denied all allegations.
Back at the award show, the room didn’t take kindly to the joke. Streamer Tylil James quickly stepped in, calling out the remark and offering support to Cenat.
“If you’re going to be on the mic making jokes, at least let it be funny. Have a good night,” he said, drawing cheers from the crowd.
Online, the reaction was even more intense. Many blasted the joke as insensitive, arguing that tying Cenat to Diddy during a moment when the allegations against him are dominating headlines was in poor taste.
