Super Eagles and Fulham midfielder Alex Chuka Iwobi, has revealed that he, alongside his club teammates, will no longer share dressing room footage on social media, Soccernet.ng reports.

The 29-year-old is well known for his lifestyle content, publicising his personality by recording snippets and giving insights into what life as a footballer looks like.

However, the former Arsenal man has now made it clear that the videos will no longer surface on social media due to a sanction issued by Fulham.

What Alex Iwobi said about posting on Snapchat

In a video on his official Snapchat account, Iwobi shared more details as to why he wouldn’t be putting out more videos, as he risks getting fined.

“Also, for those wondering why there hasn’t been BTS (Behind the scenes) in the dressing room, there’s a person in the media team, a part of the staff, who mentioned the club wants to sanction it.

“So, there’s no more BTS content. They also said I might get fined if I continue to do so. They’re trying to ban Snapchat in our changing room, so that’s why I stopped posting.”

“It’s a shame. I know you guys enjoy seeing what my teammates and I are like behind the scenes, but I have to respect the rules,” the former Everton man concluded.

When Fulham played against Nottingham Forest in the English Premier League last season, the fixture was nicknamed ‘the Snapchat derby’, as Ola Aina also showcases his lifestyle on the social media platform. Now, it appears there’ll be no mention of such going forward.

In the meantime, Iwobi and Calvin Bassey have their show on Fulham’s YouTube channel, titled the Bassey and Iwobi show.
