THE Super Eagles of Nigeria landed in Morocco last night looking dapper in their uniform traditional outfits as they await the kick-off of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in the North African country.
The 2025 AFCON will take place in Morocco from December 21 to January 18, with the Super Eagles and 23 other national teams competing for the continent’s most coveted trophy.
The Super Eagles contingent, made up of 28 players and head coach Eric Chelle’s technical crew, were all decked in finely embroidered kaftans on the trip from Cairo, Egypt to Fez in Morocco, where they will play their group matches.
The outfits — tops, bottoms and caps — were predominantly in a dark shade of green, similar to the national colour, with the chest and sleeves embroidered in a lighter shade of the same colour.
The Super Eric are in Group C at the 2025 AFCON, along with Tanzania, Uganda and Tunisia.
The three-time African champions open their campaign on Tuesday against Tanzania, before battling Tunisia four days later and Uganda on December 30.
All Super Eagles group matches are billed for the Fez Stadium in Fez.
The Super Eagles were unable to hold a scheduled training session yesterday in Fez due to the time of their arrival, but plan to train twice today, in the morning and evening.
