Benjamin Fredrick was the star performer for the Super Eagles against Gabon on Thursday….
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface has called Benjamin Fredrick a world class player, following his performance in Nigeria’s 4-1 win over Gabon on Thursday, Soccernet.ng reports.
Fredrick was the star of the game when Nigeria defeated Gabon in the semifinal of the CAF World Cup playoffs on Thursday. He was cool, calm and collected at the back.
The Dender man was rock-solid, comfortably shutting down Denis Bouanga and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He was there to clean-up whenever Bright Osayi-Samuel didn’t do his job well, and his passing was really good.
To crown his efforts, Fredrick also got a beautiful assist for Victor Osimhen’s first goal for Nigeria.
Following his performance against Gabon, Frederick earned a lot of plaudits from Nigerian fans and journalists.
Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface also joined in. Replying to an X post that asked fans to describe Fredrick, the Werder Bremen man wrote, “World class.”

Why Victor Boniface’s Endorsement Is Really Big For Benjamin Fredrick
Victor Boniface calling Benjamin Fredrick a world class player definitely puts him among some of the best defenders in the world.
There aren’t many world class defenders in the world. Some of the top clubs in the world like Chelsea, Manchester United, Barcelona, and Atletico Madrid cannot even boast of world class defenders.

Only an elite class of defenders like Virgil Van Dijk, John Stones, William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhaes, and a few others can even enter the world class conversation.
Fredrick currently plays at Dender, in the Belgium Jupiler Pro League, and he will be looking to continue shining for both club and country.
