Super Falcons WAFCON 2024 squad: Ajibade, Oshoala, Nnadozie lead charge for 10th title

The Nigeria Football Federation have announced the 24-woman squad for the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in July, Soccernet.ng reports.

The Super Falcons are looking for a record-tenth WAFCON title in Morocco, and the squad that will do battle has been revealed.

Al Ittihad defender Ashleigh Plumptre has not gotten a lot of minutes for Nigeria since her move to Al Ittihad, but that is about to change, as coach Austine Madugu has named her in his list.

Also, former Barcelona star Asisat Oshoala is back in the squad after missing the last game against Cameroon.

Goalkeepers: Chiamaka Nnadozie, Tochukwu Oluehi, Unachukwu Udoka.

Defenders: Oluwatosin Demehin, Osinachi Ohale, Michelle Alozie, Isah Sikiratu, Ashleigh Plumptre, Oladipo Shukurat, Usani Miracle.

Midfielders: Halimatu Ayinde, Toni Payne, Jennifer Echegini, Christy Ucheibe, Deborah Abiodun, Rasheedat Ajibade.

Forwards: Asisat Oshoala, Babjide Omorinsola, Francisca Ordega, Chioma Okafor, Ifeoma Onumonu, Ihezuo Chinwendu, Esther Okoronkwo, Ijamilusi Folashade.
