Lil Uzi Vert’s former personal assistant has withdrawn her lawsuit accusing the rapper of harassment and workplace misconduct.
On Tuesday, Jane Doe’s attorney filed to dismiss the case without prejudice, leaving the option open to refile.
The suit, filed earlier this year, alleged that Doe endured emotional distress and “unwelcome sexual advances” while working for the rapper, born Symere Bysil Woods. She claimed she was recruited in 2022 after meeting Uzi at a Los Angeles Balenciaga store, but said the job soon became “hostile and inappropriate.”
Doe alleged that the rapper even sent her several inappropriate messages, including messages such as “Come rub me down before you leave” and “Let me see that booty.”
Court documents described long hours, unpaid expenses, and inappropriate messages reportedly sent by Uzi. Doe also accused Roc Nation, which manages the rapper, and Uzi’s company Uzivert LLC of ignoring her complaints.
She said she worked up to 30 hours straight, covered travel costs herself, and was told she was only entitled to her base salary.
In 2023, she joined Roc Nation’s staff with a $100,000 salary but said promised reviews and raises never happened and that she was even asked to assist Uzi’s girlfriend, rapper JT, without extra pay.
The stress led her to therapy in early 2024, and she eventually resigned, describing her exit as a “constructive discharge.” The lawsuit sought damages for sexual harassment, unpaid wages, and emotional harm.
