Former Big Brother Naija stars Natacha Akide, known as Tacha, and Mercy Eke have surprised their fans by publicly celebrating four years of friendship after years of assumed rivalry.

Naijaonpoint reports that the two reality TV personalities appeared together in a video on Wednesday, where they laughed and spoke about their long-standing friendship.

Tacha revealed that they had been on good terms for years, while Mercy mentioned that fans had been urging them to make the video to clear misconceptions about their relationship.

Tacha said in the clip, “We’ve been cool for years. It’s been a long time, like four years now.”

The clip quickly gained attention online, with many fans expressing joy at seeing the former housemates together again.

Their renewed friendship comes six years after their clash during the 2019 Big Brother Naija Pepper Dem season, which led to Tacha’s disqualification and earned Mercy two strikes.

Despite the controversy, Mercy later became the first female winner of the reality show, while Tacha built a successful career as a social media influencer and entrepreneur.
