Dauda Maikomo, the permanent secretary of the Abuja Liason Office of the Taraba State Government is dead.

Maikono reportedly died in a hospital in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city

This was disclosed by Ahmed Kara, the Taraba State’s Head of Service on Wednesday, June 11.

Late Maikomo was said to have passed at the hospital after a brief illness.

“On behalf of His Excellency, Dr Agbu Kefas, the Governor of Taraba State, I wish to announce the passing away of Mr Dauda Maikomo, permanent secretary of Abuja Liaison Office, whose sad event occurred on 11th June 2025, following a brief illness,” Kara said in a statement.

A dedicated public servant, Kara said the late Maikomo also made impeccable contributions to the government of the state and Nigeria as a whole.

Also an astute leader, the statement said that the late permanent secretary’s vision, leadership and committment would be greatly missed.

He also said that Maikomo would be given a state burial once a date is confirmed by his family.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, and colleagues during this difficult time. May his legacy continue to inspire us,” Kara said.
