A student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, identified as Tochi Martins Attah has died after collapsing during a football match.
Reports obtained by Naijaonpoint revealed that the tragic incident occurred on the morning of Monday, July 7, 2025, at Elmada Hostel within the university environment.
The deceased, also known as T-funds, was a 300-level Microbiology student before he reportedly switched to a medical course.
The President of Useh Youths, Engr. Sabastine Aku, confirmed the incident in a statement.

He was the younger brother of Dr. Simon Attah, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
His sudden death shocked the university community and his hometown of Useh Village, where he was described as a promising young man.
Meanwhile, unknown gunmen have reportedly killed an officer of theNigeria Police Forcein Imo state.
Reports obtained by Naijaonpoint on Monday revealed that the tragedy struck on Sunday morning when the assailants attacked a police checkpoint along the Okigwe-Umuahia Road in Okigwe Local Government Area, killing a police operative and leaving another missing.
The assailants, suspected to be members of a proscribed secessionist group, reportedly made away with rifles belonging to the officers.
According to PremiumTimes, sources disclosed that the attack occurred around 9 a.m., catching the officers on duty off guard.
The slain officer was identified simply as Oluebube, a police constable, while the missing officer was named as Casmir, an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP).
