Tension Arises In Enugu As Gunmen Kill Market Leader – Independent Newspaper Nigeria

The Chairman of Ogbete Market Amalgamated Traders’ Association (OMATA), Mr. Stephen Aniagu, was tragically killed on Saturday night, leading to heightened tension in Enugu, the capital city. 

Reports indicate that Aniagu, who headed the largest market in the state, was fatally shot by suspected assassins in the Topland Area of the state.

The perpetrators then fled the scene with his vehicle. 

A disturbing video circulating depicts Aniagu’s lifeless body, pierced with bullets, as shocked residents gather around in disbelief. 

The Enugu State Police has not yet released any official statement regarding the incident.
