A popular Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi has made a fresh case for the armed bandits and terrorists killing several Nigerians across states of the country.
Gumi while speaking during an interview in Trust Television on Friday said the terrorists who have been attacking innocent citizens have been on a revenge mission.
Stating that the bandits do not attack without a reason, the cleric urged the Nigerian government to call for a meeting with the terrorists.
According to Gumi, should the Nigerian government heed his advice and call for a meeting, the terrorists would definitely honour the invitation for peace to reign.
Gumi’s call for peace with the terrorists follows the recent designation of Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern and he threat of military invasion by President Donald Trump of the United States of America.
He also stated that these terrorists who have been killing, destroying homes and rapibg women across various local communities of the country are not like the members of the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra (IPOB) who have refused to dialogue with the government.
“They don’t just attack without a cause. Bandits are on a revenge mission. If you call them for peace, they will come.
“They are not like IPOB members who have refused to dialogue,” Gumi said.
