Nollywood actress and filmmaker Omoni has issued a statement to her fans regarding her illness.
In an Instagram post, she revealed that she has never been very sick for the last few days and can’t remember the last time she was that ill.
Omoni said the devil is a liar as she gives assurance to her film lovers.
“My dearest besties, I know you’ve all been waiting for our new movie.
I have been, too, but I’ve been very sick for the last few days.
I was still trying to make it work, but I couldn’t remember the last time I was that ill.
The devil is a liar!
I’ve only just been able to come up for air today, and I don’t want to give you something less than perfect.
So, shall we release tomorrow?
I’m so sorry.
Always remember that I love you.
I love you always, and I will never play with your love and support”.

In 2024, Nkechi Blessing revealed that she had escaped death. The mother of one, via her Instagram page, while sharing a photo of her in a bandage, revealed that what took her mother in a flash years back almost happened to her. But luckily for her, God said it was not her turn.
Also, veteran actress Ireti Doyle shared a harrowing experience on Instagram, where she spoke out about a near-death encounter with carbon monoxide poisoning. She recounted how a stop at the mall during her time-out with her kids turned into a life-threatening situation, as she was discovered unconscious in the car, foaming at the mouth with blood trickling down her nose.
Actress, Regina Daniels, recounted how her near-death experience while visiting her beloved state Asaba, Delta State, accompanied by her then politician husband. She revealed that the only thing she thought of at that point was her children as death looked at her face for the second time and her heart almost exploded because it was at the same frequency as the plane.
Singer, Akinmayokun Awodumila, popularly known as May D, had escaped death. The then 40-year-old former DMW signee shared a photo of himself in a hospital bed receiving drips on his Twitter page, expressing gratitude for life.
Big Brother Naija reality star, Khloe Abiri, shared her testimony after undergoing life-saving surgery. In a Snapchat post, she shared photos of herself on the hospital bed as she recounted how the medical practitioners told her that if she had waited one more day, it would have been another story.
