Adventure Time fans, the latest Finn and Jake adventure is now available online for free. The first issue from the upcoming Adventure Time: Best of Buds collection can be read online, giving fans of the beloved franchise another fix of their favorite duo, who haven’t been on TV since 2018, for the best price possible.

AIPT shared the new sequel story, Adventure Time #1, written and illustrated by Nick Winn. The issue delivers peak unhinged Finn and Jake, starting with their battle against a foul-mouthed “jelly monster” and escalating from there.

The fan-favorite Cartoon Network animated comedy Adventure Time ran for 10 seasons, from 2010 through 2018. Since then, the franchise has lived on in other forms, most notably comic books and video games. Publisher Oni Press acquired the rights to the franchise last year, and launched a new Adventure Time comic series in the spring of 2025.

Now, ahead of the release of the trade paperback edition of the series’ first arc, AIPT has made the debut issue available online. This gives readers the opportunity to confirm that the Adventure Time comic brings the familiar vibe of the series before jumping in and buying the collected edition.

It will only take most readers a few pages to get hooked. Oni’s Adventure Time series is a worthy successor to the animated show. It has the same madcap pace and zany comedic energy. Plus, in some ways, it is even less restrained than Adventure Time was on TV during its heyday.
