The PS5 Pro will enhance more than 50 games at launch

The big reason to get the PS5 Pro is because of the enhanced games, that is its capability to provide graphical and performance enhancements to games that are already available and launching in the future. While the PS5 Pro has yet to launch (it launches on November 7 officially), players are no doubt still wondering about what games will be enhanced on the new console, and how many there will be.

Sony has now confirmed a fairly sizeable list of titles that will see these graphics and performance improvements when playing on the PS5 Pro compared to the original or Slim models. Sony’s PS5 Pro was announced back in September with a November launch date This was also when Sony announced the official pricing of $799.99. A price that some feel is too much given this is a mid-generation console refresh.

The obvious reason to get one is, of course, the boost to gaming performance. While it will be tough to explain that boost to performance in thorough detail without having experienced it, Sony has said that the Pro will essentially allow gamers to play games in quality mode while retaining a higher frame rate that would only be experienced in performance mode on the original console. So if you don’t like making the choice between better graphics and better performance, the PS5 Pro is probably a worthy upgrade.

There should be no doubt that in time, the PS5 Pro will enhance hundreds of games. For now, the list is starting with over 50 games that will benefit from these boosts at the console’s launch. That means starting this week, you can play any of the games Sony has confirmed and get better performance. This includes obvious titles like Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. Call of Duty on PlayStation is positively massive every single year and the most recent titles benefit from the higher frames per second. So long as you have a screen that supports the higher refresh rate.

The graphics could stand to use a boost though. They’re good, but at times there will be quite a few details that appear fuzzy. So perhaps the PS5 Pro will fix this. In addition to Black Ops 6, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be enhanced. As well as God Of War Ragnarok, Alan Wake 2, Demon Souls, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, Baldur’s Gate 3, and even Diablo IV.

Again, reading about these enhancements on paper is going to be vastly different from seeing them in person. Seeing is believing after all. However, Sony is painting a picture to drum up excitement. All 50+ games will benefit from advanced ray tracing for improved lighting and shadow effects and reflections. Sony also confirms enhancements like PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution. In addition, it mentions “silky smooth frame rates of 60Hz and 120Hz” via the new GPU upgrade. Provided that again, your monitor or TV supports these frame rates.
