This year, 2025, is undoubtedly the best year for Nollywood actor Ibrahim Yekini, better known as Itele, as he continues to shatter records with his movie.
The Yoruba actor, via his Instagram page, had reacted to the news that his YouTube movie, Koleoso, was making history in Nigeria’s 2025 most searched series. The movie competes with the likes of Netflix’s ‘Wednesday’ and ‘Squid Game’.
Itele noted how the record is loud and the growth is real. He expressed gratitude for the journey, organic growth, real audience, and impact.
Stating that this is only the beginning, he appreciated the cast and crew, as well as the viewers, noting that this is a win for all. Itele made it known that he is truly humbled and deeply grateful.
“THE RECORD IS LOUD. THE GROWTH IS REAL.
Grateful for the journey, proud of the numbers.
Organic growth. Real audience. Real impact.
This is only the beginning
The views don’t lie — consistency, hard work, and God’s grace.
We keep winning… louder, bigger, better
From vision to views.
Thank you to everyone watching, sharing, and supporting — big thanks to the cast and Crew, this win is ours.
This is a win for us all — the Nollywood industry.
I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: my KOLEOSO family, you are the best.
I am truly humbled and deeply grateful.
Truly grateful to @shockng for the acknowledgement”.
A week back, Itele was ranked among the Top 10 YouTube creators in Nigeria. He expressed gratitude for the love, support, and the journey so far. He appreciated his Koleoso family for believing in him, standing strong and for pushing the vision.
In an interview earlier this year, Itele opened up on his pre-fame struggles, revealing he faced challenges that almost took his life. He recounted how he would sell jewellery at Bauchi village and credited one Papa T for helping him out, expressing gratitude to Femi Adebayo, who he stated had made a great impact in his life.
Itele has undoubtedly come a long way in Nollywood.
Last year, he made headlines for his phenomenal role on Jagun Jagun, which got him praise from netizens. Reacting to the positive response from his critics, he pledged to continue to please his fans, stating he was grateful for the accolades.
In 2023, Itele revealed his plans to join Femi Adebayo, Odunlade Adekola at the box office. He recounted working with Funke and Femi, and how it challenged him in a highly different manner.
That same year, he had bagged a double award, beating his senior colleagues, Afeez Owo, Kolawole Ajeyemi, Segun Ogungbe, and others as the Best Actor of the Year and Best Director of the Year.
The actor had also gotten another recognition for his hard work, as he received a leadership award for his contributions to entertainment. The award was also a reflection of his character in society and mentorship to the youth.
