Dark Horse Comics has announced a brand-new Witcher comic series that will hit comic book shelves on January 28, 2026, several months after The Witcher Season 4 premieres on Netflix with Liam Hemsworth as the new Geralt of Rivia.

This four-issue mini-series, titled The Witcher: Blood Stone, will be led by writer Daniel Freedman (Birdking, Kali), with art by Pius Bak (Slightly Exaggerated, Godfather of Hell), colors by Roman Titov (Cyberpunk 2077: Big City Dreams), and lettering by Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou (The Witcher: The Bear and the Butterfly).

The Witcher: Blood Stone will give fans the best of Geralt of Rivia, focusing on what he does best: killing monsters. The synopsis for the series and first issue teases, “Ancient dwarven mines have attracted treasure hunters, and local legend has it that a horned beast is killing them.” Naturally, there is only one logical solution: calling in a Witcher.

The synopsis continues, “With no signs of an attack, Geralt surveys the land, but the mountains are deadly, and the mines even deadlier. And in the labyrinth of the dwarven caves, what remains is best left untouched.” Though brief, it’s clear fans will get everything they love: their favorite brooding anti-hero, epic monster battles, and a mystery to unravel.

As a teaser for what’s to come, fans can view the main cover for The Witcher: Blood Stone #1 by Pius Bak, who will provide all main covers and art for the four-issue series. Variant covers by Gigi Cavenago, Axel Sauerwald, and Patrycja Podkościelny are also expected, though they have yet to be released.
