A member of the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Tolu Bankole, has affirmed that President Bola Tinubu will serve his two-term tenure, insisting that there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock until 2031.

Bankole made this assertion on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, in Abuja, dismissing talks of a potential opposition alliance ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

He stated that Tinubu’s administration is implementing significant economic reforms and setting Nigeria on a path to long-term prosperity, making his re-election inevitable.

“Save your money and energy; there will be no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027. President Tinubu’s administration has implemented far-reaching economic reforms, setting Nigeria on a path of renewal and long-term prosperity,” Bankole stated.

He further argued that opposition figures plotting to challenge Tinubu in 2027 are either unaware of Nigeria’s political history or deliberately causing distractions for selfish gains.

“Nigerians can now see through the antics of the opposition, recognizing their lack of preparation and commitment to national unity. Their pseudo-appeal during the last election has been exposed as nothing more than a series of comical and outrageous political schemes,” he added.

Bankole warned opposition parties to channel their efforts toward constructive engagement rather than attempting to discredit Tinubu’s administration, which he insists is already transforming the country.

“As the 2027 presidential election approaches, it is evident that President Tinubu will secure a resounding victory over any opponent. His remarkable commitment to Nigeria’s transformation speaks for itself.

“Those considering contesting should rethink their ambition, as there is no vacancy in Aso Rock in 2027,” he concluded.
