“They are the real secret behind my confidence and my best performance” – Ayo Makun beams with joy as his daughters support him at his UK event

Nigerian comedian Ayo Makun, better known as AY, has expressed pride at his daughters showing him support at his recent event.

Taking to his Instagram page to share photos of them, he stated that there is nothing quite like the joy of having his daughters come around to cheer him on before he hit the stage. He revealed that his eldest daughter flew in all the way from the UK, but his biggest joy was seeing Ayomide, who was brought to surprise him.

The comedian stated that their love and support are the real secret behind his confidence and his best performance yet. He added that knowing they are proud of him fuels his soul and reminds him why he does what he does.

“There’s nothing quite like the joy of having my daughters come around to cheer me on just before I hit the stage. Michelle flew in all the way from the UK, but my biggest joy was seeing Ayomide ( my joy has come), who was brought to surprise me. She didn’t want me out of her sight for a second.

In January, Ayo penned an emotional note to celebrate his second daughter’s birthday. He noted how he hadn’t seen her much since his separation from her mother. However, he was grateful for every moment they shared. He further admitted that though so many unrepairable occurrences had engulfed the unity they once called family, she should rest assured that she was deeply loved by her mum and him.

To mark her day, AY shared an emotional video of him reuniting with his daughter for her birthday. The box office King had surprised her with cake and more in her school. In the clip, the toddler who was overjoyed seeing her fan ran to him in a warm embrace and the comedian carried her. Elsewhere in the clip, Ayomide, who didn’t want her dad to leave, was seen pulling his legs and asking him to stay with her.

Recall that in April, 2023, AY confirmed the end of his almost 20-year relationship with Mabel, expressing regrets for losing his home, and also admitted to doing things that were compromising during the marriage.
