Senator Ned Nwoko has alleged that the police once arrested some relatives of his wife, Nollywood actress Regina Daniels, after she instigated a commotion at a hotel in Abuja.

Speaking at a recent hangout of the Kay Hikers Club, a social group for young people, the senator representing Delta North recounted how Daniels called him during a dispute involving hotel owners and a guest.

According to him, Regina had been lodged at the facility for four days, during which she and her acquaintances, including her brother, engaged in “drinking and smoking.”

Nwoko claimed the situation escalated when Daniels informed him that another hotel occupant had slapped her.

He said the actress then used her vehicles to block the two main entrances of the hotel, preventing people from entering or exiting the premises.

The senator said he declined her request to intervene in the matter, insisting the situation required law enforcement involvement. The police were eventually called, leading to the arrest of some of Regina’s relatives who were present at the scene.

He said, “They took this place for four days. And it was four days of partying for them. It was four days of drinking and smoking and all that goes with it. As a lawyer, I have evidence. I have a level. I have a standard. The fact that they were here between the 9th and the 13th or so, and they had drinks and drugs, was documented. We have written police statements.

“The fact that they also had fights with the owners of this hotel and guests is also documented. In one of those days, Regina called me to say that she blocked the two gates and that I should call the police commissioner that nobody leaves the hotel. I asked her for what? She told me that her doctors came to see her and somebody’s husband slapped her, and that she did not want anybody to leave or enter the hotel.

“She told me that she used some of her cars to block the entrance of the hotel. She did not do what I asked until the police came. She blocked the gates for over two hours.

“And some of them were arrested, Regina’s brothers and sisters were arrested.”

Nwoko and Regina’s conflict began in October when a viral video showed the actress in tears, accusing her husband of domestic violence.
